(1) Before the counting of votes in a polling station is finished or before the counted ballots are sealed, any candidate or his election representative or the counting representative may submit a written application to the Election Officer with reasons for re-counting of some or all of the ballots.
(2) If an application is received according to sub-section (1), the election officer may immediately register such an application and repeat the counting if it appears necessary to repeat the counting.
(3) If there is no need to re-count according to sub-section (2), the election officer shall make a decision on the matter and notify the candidate or his election representative or the counting representative who is present at that place before announcing the election result.
